The April 27 episode of M!Countdown featured some special performances from groups like Produce 101 Season 2s A Group and Hyukoh in their first music show performance since their debut.

WINNERs Really Really and IUs Palette were both up for first place this week despite both artists being absent from the show. IU took the final crown with a score of 7626 vs. WINNERs 7507 and got her first win for Palette, the title track off her album of the same name. She has previously won music show trophies with her pre-release track Through the Night.

A month ago, Mnet introduced us to its Produce 101 Season 2 lineup through their full-member performance of their theme song, Pick Me, on M!Countdown.

On April 26, Mnet released a behind-the-scenes look at that performance. The video began with the boys at a training center as they practiced their lines and worked on their choreography with dance teacher Kwon Jae Seung.

As trainees, many of the boys had never stood on a big stage like M!Countdown before and they joked around about their nervousness and their inexperience with finding the camera. They also continued to put in the work, practicing their choreography until the very last minute.

The latest episode of Mnets Produce 101 Season 2, which aired April 28 KST, saw the continuation of group battles covering popular songs from K-pop boy groups.

Last week, contestants performed 2PMs 10 Out of 10 and EXOs hit song Call Me Baby. This week, viewers saw performances of Super Juniors Sorry Sorry, BTSs Boy in Luv, SHINees Replay, SEVENTEENs Mansae, Infinites Be Mine, and BEASTs Shock.

While many expected the Avengers (Group 1 performing Boy in Luv) team to win the overall group battle on-site scoring, the Group 1 that performed SEVENTEENs Mansae (Park Woo Dam, Joo Won Tak, Kim Yeon Guk, Woo Jin Young, Kim Tae Dong) took first place, despite an unexpected member loss, and Park Woo Dam, the main vocal of the group, ranked first for the contestants. He commented, I thought people would only like good-looking trainees, but thank you.

On May 4, Mnet released a new preview video for the upcoming fifth episode of Produce 101 Season 2, which is when contestants and viewers find out who will survive and who will be eliminated from the program.

As announced on a previous episode, the top 60 contestants of the program will make it to the next round of the survival program, while the remaining contestants will be eliminated. In the video, viewers can see the contestants praying and holding each others hands as they wait for their fates on the show to be revealed.
