Actress Kim Ji Won will take her first stab at a historical film as the main female lead. 

King Kong by Starship released a statement saying, "Actress Kim Ji Won is confirmed to play her first historical role in the movie 'Chosun Detective 3' (working title). This is her first historical screenplay. Please give her lots of interest." 

Kim Ji Won will play the role of a woman who lost her memories and coincidentally comes upon two detectives Kim Min (Kim Myung Min) and Seo Pil (Oh Dal Soo) and all three are thrust into a comical mysterious adventure.

Jo Seung Woo, Ji Sung, And Kim Sung Kyoon To Star In Final Chapter Of Historical Film Trilogy

Actors Cho Seung Woo, Ji Sung, and Kim Sung Kyoon have been confirmed for roles in the final chapter of a historical film trilogy that started with the popular and critically acclaimed 2013 film The Face Reader, which starred Song Kang Ho, Lee Jung Jae, Lee Jong Suk, and more.

A source from the production company stated on June 20 that the three actors had been cast in lead roles and that they would begin filming for Great Site (literal translation) in the latter half of the year.

Kang Dong Won offered to star in new French film

Actor Kang Dong Won is currently attending the '70th Cannes Film Festival' in France.

According to a film representative on May 22, Kang Dong Won has received an offer to star in a small French movie and is looking to meet and discuss with affiliates at the luxurious festival. The actor is hoping to cross the boundaries between Asia and Europe through this event.

Meanwhile, the star-studded event, which opened on May 17, will be going on until May 28.

Ha Jung-woo and Son Ye-jin were honored with the Chunsa Film Festival Best Actor and Actress.

The event was held in COEX on the 24th. Ha Jung-woo was awarded Best Actor for "Tunnel" and Son Ye-jin Best Actress for "The Truth Beneath".

Ha Jung-woo made a speech thanking those he worked with in the movie and thanked the director for giving him such a good character.

Son Ye-jin also made a speech saying she felt more responsible with every award she got.

Meanwhile, the Best Director went to Na Hong-jin from "The Wailing", the Best Supporting Actor to Park Jung-min from "DongJu, The Portrait of A Poet" and the Best Supporting Actress to Yoo In-young from "Misbehavior".
