Trailing behind "BOOMBAYAH", the lovely ladies of Black Pink have released the Japanese MV of their hit song "WHISTLE" ahead of their official Japanese debut on August 30.

Retaining the same aesthetics as the original version, you don't see too many differences from the original. However, the Japanese version incorporates a lot more English especially Jennie and Lisa's rapping.

On May 16, YGEX (YG's partnership with AVEX in Japan)announced that Black Pink is making their Japanese debut this summer. The girls will be holding their debut showcase at Nippon Budokan in Tokyo on July 20.

Black Pink's Japanese debut mini album will include hit tracks such as ''BOOMBAYAH'', ''Whistle'', ''Playing With Fire'', ''Stay'', and more. It'll be officially released on August 9.

The May 22 broadcast of KBS Cool FM's 'Hongki's Kiss the Radio' featured theWINNER members performing a cover of Black Pink's "Whistle."

They gave a fantastic performance nailing not only the lyrics but the overall mood of the song as well. In the end, they scored 98 points out of 100 for their performance. This isn't the first time the fellow YG artists covered each other's music.

Bekuh Boom recently shared the original draft of "Whistle" on her Instagram story. The videos featured a portion of the recording where Bekuh Boom presented a very different sounding "Whistle."

Black Pink Release Teaser for Their New Single

Girl group Black Pink on Monday unveiled a teaser for their new single ahead of its release later this week.

The release signals a return to work for the four-member girl group, who plan a number of promotional activities for the single.

"The fast-paced, upbeat song will be a refreshing blast to relieve the summer heat", their management agency, YG Entertainment, said on Tuesday.

Black Pink will also meet Japanese fans at an event in Tokyo in mid-July.
