JTBC confirmed the news on July 8 and said, They will be filming their episode on July 13. The broadcast date has not been set yet.

BLACKPINKs appearance on the show was a result of Yang Hyun Suks efforts. On June 27, he posted a screenshot of a fans comment asking for the girl group to appear on the show, and added the caption, Putting all my energy into making this happen. This is the first time Im asking for something in 17 years. YG Entertainment and JTBC came to an agreement, and the decision was made to get BLACKPINK on Ask Us Anything.

Seventeen's first variety show appearance for their comeback will be on 'Weekly Idol'

Seventeen has been confirmed to appear on MBC Every1's 'Weekly Idol,' making it their first variety show appearance since their comeback.

According to broadcast reps, Seventeen will participate in the recording of 'Weekly Idol' on May 31, and the episode featuring the group is scheduled to air in the middle of June.

Making their comeback on May 22, Seventeen has been focusing on their album promotions, and this will be their first solo appearance on 'Weekly Idol'. It's been a year and 7 months since their last appearance on 'Weekly Idol' which was back in October 2015. The first time they appeared they were a relatively unknown rookie group but now they are one of the most popular groups.

The project, which first began with Mystic Ent's Yeo Woon Hyuk PD, SM's Lee Ye Ji PD, Parc Jae Jung, and Mark, will consist of the two labels producing one song in two unique ways.
