Jung Yong-hwa of boy band CNBLUE will release a solo album in July, his first since January 2015.
After a busy spell working on the band's latest album, which was released in March, the solo project is a welcome opportunity for Jung to try out some novel musical ideas.
Jung recently collaborated with foreign artists through a songwriting camp. "I met a songwriter from New York at the three-day camp and worked with him. It was a fresh approach to writing. These days, we collaborate on songs through online messaging", Jung said.
