Comedian Shin Bong Sun shares thoughts on returning to 'Gag Concert' + parodying IU

Comedian Shin Bong Sun shared her thoughts on returning to 'Gag Concert' after nine years, as well as her parody of IU.

For the 900th episode of 'Gag Concert', the comedian did a comedic skit of singer IU's "Palette". Shin Bong Sun stated, "I had a lot of fun. Usually I receive a lot of backlash and so I wasn't going to do this parody." She continued, "There were many people who enjoyed watching, but there were also many who hated the skit."

Shin Bong Sun also shared that her decision to return to the show was not an easy decision. "I was unsure whether or not I wanted to return because I hate the anxiety I experience before the filming begins. I was scared and wanted to show a better face to my juniors," she relayed.

The May 9 episode of KBS 2TV's 'Gag Concert' was a special episode as it was the 900th episode of the program. The episode featured many segments of highlights over the years. One of the past segment highlights featured actor Song Joong Ki making a guest appearance on the show back in 2011 acting alongside comedian Shin Bora.

During the skit, Song Joong Ki kisses her on the cheek making the audience go wild.  The comedian recalled the heart-fluttering moment, saying, "The audience loved but so did I."  Shin Bora added, "When I got off stage, I got in so much trouble by the director, saying how I acted so selfishly," laughing away.
