During the June 16 episode of Entertainment Weekly, the show took a look at dramas that aired in the first half of 2017 to determine some current trends in the TV world.

The first keyword was office dramas. Many of the dramas in the first half dealt with realistic situations that arise in the ordinary workforce, drawing in audiences who could relate to the material. In addition, viewers could live vicariously through the drama characters, who often had to deal with corrupt and unfair superiors.

It's no shock SM Entertainment continues to surprise its fans through their consistent work ethic. But with the comeback plans and more schedules to follow from summer to the end of the year of 2017, it's worth examining some artists that are likely to be active in the second half of the year.

Minzy recently held her solo debut showcase for her first solo album MINZY WORK 01 UNO and during her talk portion, first mentioned how nervous but excited she was to have an album and song completely under her own name. She talked about how nervous she was the night before the showcase that she could not get any sleep.

After ceasing production at the beginning of March, "Housewife Detective" has now been outright cancelled. Its stars, Jang Nara and Hwang Chan-sung will have their contracts terminated.

"Housewife Detective" started with a table reading in late January. Production trouble did not come to light until the end of March when it was announced that production had been on hold for a month. No explanation was given for the stoppage, but it was deemed temporary. Now, the drama has been officially cancelled.
