Eugene Translates Children's Book for Charity

Eugene, the actress and former member of girl group SES, has published a Korean translation of an award-winning American children's book.

"The Night World" by Caldecott Medal winner Mordicai Gerstein has been praised as among the best bedtime story options for kids.

Eugene, who is herself a mother, remains active, whether in acting or hosting TV shows. She plans to donate all of the proceeds from the book to assist children in need and help them pursue their dreams.

The book is available at local bookstores or can be purchased online.

On June 6, T.O.P was admitted to the hospital from overdosing on medication used to treat anxiety. There were many speculations and rumors surrounding the incident, leaving many confused about what was the truth.

On June 8, there was finally good news about T.O.P's condition. He had regained consciousness and recognized his mother. Prior to the incident, T.O.P was investigated for marijuana usage that took place back in October 2016.

The annual Seoul International Book Fair kicked off at COEX in southern Seoul on Wednesday.

The event aims to bring a breath of fresh air to Korea's publishing industry and further promote reading to the public.

Book reading in Korea has been declining to the point that people do not even read a single book a month. Last year, the average Korean read a total of 8.7 books a year, down one from the previous year.
