Fans suspect JYPE will be cancelling plans for boy group version of 'Sixteen'

The latest gossip among fans of JYP Entertainment trainees is that the boy group survival program that the label had been discussing, coined as the boy group version of 'Sixteen' or 'Sixteen 2', will likely be cancelled. 

It was previously reported that JYPE was in the developing stages of a boy group survival show, set for the end of 2017. However, after news of JYPE's first ever Chinese boy group, BOY STORY, fans claimed that some of the Chinese trainees who were contenders for 'Sixteen 2' have been ruled out.

BTS Fans Outraged at Universal Music Group Due To Alleged Unfair Copyright Claims

BTS fans have taken out their outrage with Universal Music Group to Twitter with the hashtag #UMGDontTouchBTS.

BTS signed with Def Jam Records, (a subsidiary of Universal Music Group) for their overseas Japanese activities.

The record label, however, started to block and remove the videos that were affiliated with BTS’s Blood, Sweat, and Tears, claiming the legal rights to parodies, lyric videos, reaction videos, and more.

19-year-old German school student Irene (Eileen) has taken the K-Pop world by surprise due to her resemblance to Jeon Somi. The teenager appeared on YTN NEWS where she was interviewed for her presentation on the Korean language and her love for the language. Bang Si Hyuk shares plans for BTS' unit promotions + a brother group

Big Hit Entertainment founder Bang Si Hyuk shared his plans for BTS and more in an interview with OSEN. 

The group has never promoted in units. Regarding this, Bang Si Hyuk commented, "The possibility of BTS' unit promotions is always open. The members' opinion and decision are also very important. But as of now, we've decided to just focus on the team."

Bang Si Hyuk also shared about debuting new groups under Big Hit Entertainment. He explained, "BTS' brother group has been discussed in the agency but nothing has been confirmed. We do have several trainees but it's unknown what will happen. One thing I can say for sure is that we don't have any girl trainees. I think I saw something about a BTS sister group on the web but we don't have any girl trainees."
