In a time when black bodies are still seen as dangerous creatures to be policed inhumanely; when segregation persists through discriminatory housing policies, and racial profiling chains African-Americans to lengthy prison sentences for possession of marijuana, Taeyang has revealed in Big Bang’s latest photobook:

“I’m not black, so I’ll probably have to have more experience and go through more pain if I want to express the sentiments, emotions, and soul that black people have through my music. That’s why I believe that pain and suffering will make my music richer.”

For two days on August 5 and 6, Black Pink will be the opening act for Taeyang's 'White Night' World tour concerts in Japan.

Taeyang's concerts will beheld at the Hotto Motto Field Kobe baseball stadium in Kobe, Hyogo, the girls will be lighting up the night with their highly-anticipated performance for their fellow YG sunbae. Previously, Black Pink held their Japanese debut showcase on July 20 at the respected Nippon Budokan Arena, selling out the venue as 14,000 seats were sold. More than 200,000 people applied to get tickets for the showcase demonstrating their rising fame in the land of the rising sun.

On August 6, Big Bang's Taeyang posted a photo on his Instagram page.

The picture revealed the star posing together with fellow YG artist Black Pink at a restaurant with concert staff in Japan as they demonstrated a casual sun-hoobae bond, giving a thumbs up after a successful performance. The caption read, "Cute Black Pink members made a guest appearance at my concert. Thank you."

Producer Peejay of The Black Label has released some track teaser images ahead of his full album release.

For his 'WALKIN' Vol.2' album, the music producer has recruited some big artists as features. So far, seven track teaser images have been released to align with the countdown days. With four days left until his full release, Peejay revealed that his fourth track "Warigari" will feature Kush and Big Bang's Taeyang.

Black Pink's 'BOOMBAYAH' edges out TWICE's 'Like OOH-AHH' as the most watched debut MV

Black Pinknow have the most-watched debut K-pop MV, as of May 31.

The title originally belonged to TWICEand "Like OOH-AHH", but Black Pink's "BOOMBAYAH" has now edged out ahead. At time of writing, TWICE's "Like OOH-AHH" has 158,308,030 views while "BOOMBAYAH" has158,502,272.
