Former SPICAmember Jiwon has been confirmed to be joining the upcoming idol rebooting program 'The Unit'.

On September 14, insiders revealed Jiwon is joining 'The Unit' lineup. She was originally intended to debut in 2007 as part of Five Girls, but the girl group never made an official debut due to their agency's financial difficulties. Jiwon was then planned to debut with T-arain 2009, but left the group before their official debut due to creative differences.

According to insiders, Mint will be rebooting her idol career on the show. She's no longer a Tiny-G member, and though she tried her hand at a solo debut last year, Mint has been fairly out of the limelight aside from her recent appearance in the drama 'Idol Master.KR'.

The premiere of 'The Unit' is set for October 28 KST, and the program will be running for 14 episodes. Stay tuned for Mint's appearance!

Boy group SNUPER has been added to the lineup for KBSs upcoming idol rebooting project The Unit.

On September 6, a source from their agency WIDMAY Entertainment stated, Its true that SNUPER will be appearing on the show, but not all members will be participating.

The agency has not revealed which members will be joining the show.

The Unit aims to shine a spotlight on artists who have already debuted but failed to find mainstream success. The show will create two K-pop unit groups, male and female. Each group will have 10 members each, and they’ll be promoting for seven months.

On September 12, Mafia Records confirmed, "Wassup's Jiae and Nari will be appearing on KBS' 'The Unit'. Sujinwas recently cast in a drama, and the Wassup members have been performing at overseas concerts and working on a new album schedule. This is why their participation was thought over."

Their label continued, "However, Jiae and Nari haven't received muchspotlight yet, and after a lot of discussion, we've decided they will show their skills."
