His sentencing trial was held on July 20, where he was sentenced with 2 years of probation and 80 hours of community service, with 8 months of prison time if probation is broken. Originally, prosecutors had sought 1 year in prison for him.

According to the Seoul Central Police, Iron beat his girlfriend because she wasn't listening to him, causing fractures. Prosecutors said last September, while Iron and girlfriend 'A' were having sex, 'A' refused Iron's demands. He beat her face with his fists in anger.About fifteen days afterward, 'A' decided to break up with Iron. He then choked and beat her, causing injuries and fracturing her left pinky. He then threatened her by stabbing himself with a kitchen tool and then telling her that if she called the police, he would tell them she stabbed him.

On Tuesday, April 18, rapper Iron was made to face the jury for the accusation of him assaulting his girlfriend. The rapper pleaded not guilty and denied the accusation.

According to Koreaboo, Iron officially denied in court that he hit his girlfriend, referred in this article as Ms. A, during their intimate moments. This was Iron's first public trial at the Seoul Central District Court.

During the court session, the prosecution stated that Iron had punched Ms. A during an intimate moment. Two weeks after, Iron allegedly hit Ms. A again that caused a severe injury that took more than a month to treat.

Rapper Iron attended the first court trial for the lawsuit regarding his alleged violent assault on an ex-girlfriend. 

On April 18, the first trial with Iron took place at Seoul Central District Court. To the prosecutor who questioned Iron about his behaviors against the ex-girlfriend, Iron's legal representative stated, "He did not intend to harm the plaintiff. The plaintiff's claims have been recreated according to her opinion and memory." The rep added, "It was self-defense."

Ultimately, the prosecutor requested Iron's ex-girlfriend to show up at the second trial as a witness.

Iron was accused of assaulting his girlfriend during sex, where he allegedly punched her during intercourse for not fulfilling his requests. As media sources began reporting on this, he denied that he had ever assaulted her, and released his official statement shortly after.
