Former “Idol School” student Jessica Lee (also known by her Korean name Lee Seul) has opened up about her experience on the show.

In the English-language video, she said in the beginning, “I am extremely happy that I got eliminated.”

Jessica Lee explained that she was intrigued by the school concept that was advertised by the show initially. She hoped “Idol School” would help her determine if being a K-pop idol was right for her, after having had experience in Korea as a trainee and performer.

Idol School Explains Plans For Eliminated Students

Mnets reality show Idol School has clarified their plans for their idol group fostering project.

In the fourth episode of Idol School, the first round of eight eliminated students were announced. Students who were eliminated based on viewer votes have lost their opportunity to debut this semester, and will be receiving training as members of a group of “regular students.”

The regular students will receive idol education and will participate in events tailored to their level.  The students will be given the opportunity to debut during the first or second half of next year if they are chosen by the voting viewers (called members).

The first episode of new Mnet girl group production program 'Idol School' aired on July 13. 

A total of 41 idol aspiring students who are not currently signed under an entertainment agency have been accepted into the institute for training. The top 9 students will be given the chance to debut in a new girl group after they graduate from 'Idol School'. 

During each episode, viewers can vote for the most outstanding student. The results will be broadcasted live during the show.

With Mnet's 'Idol School' officially in session, netizens have their radar on student Lee Na Kyung for her pretty visuals.

A batch of images sprung up on online community boards as she was coined a look-alike of TWICE member Tzuyu.

Specifically, her large eyes, small face and sharp nose line attracted many viewers.

In response to her facial features, fellow student Lee Chae Young had commented during the broadcast on July 13, "You look like Tzuyu," "I think you'll be compared a lot."

The second episode of 'Idol School' aired on July 20. 

This week, 40 students continued receiving lessons for their goal to become the top 9.
