BTS Fans Outraged at Universal Music Group Due To Alleged Unfair Copyright Claims

BTS fans have taken out their outrage with Universal Music Group to Twitter with the hashtag #UMGDontTouchBTS.

BTS signed with Def Jam Records, (a subsidiary of Universal Music Group) for their overseas Japanese activities.

The record label, however, started to block and remove the videos that were affiliated with BTS’s Blood, Sweat, and Tears, claiming the legal rights to parodies, lyric videos, reaction videos, and more.

The two artists recently collaborated for new track ''Can't Love You Anymore''. The new release has swept various music charts and continued to remain near the top of the charts.

Meanwhile, hyukoh band released their 1st full album '23'. At the event for their new release on April 24, Oh Hyuk shared his honest thoughts on going against IU on music charts.

Oh Hyuk stated, "Of course I want to beat 'Can't Love You Anymore'. Not just that track but I also want to beat 'Palette'." He then brought laughter as he asked, "So please help me."

With the 'Unnies' members finally releasing their new song, Jeon So Mi thanked fans for their support as the title song "Right?" topped the music charts immediately upon release.

On May 12, Jeon So Mi posted a compilation screenshot via Instagram illustrating the song reaching #1 on several music sites and even surpassing Psy's latest song "I Luv It"!

She wrote, "THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! (And i am literally crying ) hahaha really thank u so much! Its a Memorable Day for the Unnies," as she couldn't contain her excitement.
