From July 3 to August 4, the Korea Business Research Institute collected and analyzed 139,172,914 pieces of data for 40 of the most-loved variety shows, using consumer brand participation and communication, media consumption, brand diffusion, and consumption.

MBCs Infinite Challenge came in first place with a total of 11,229,508 points. Second place went to MBCs I Live Alone with 8,585,148 points. KBSs Happy Together came in third place with 8,583,651 points.

May Variety Show Brand Reputation Rankings Revealed

Infinite Challenge was the most popular variety show between April 4 and May 5 of 2017, according to the Korea Business Research Institute.

The Korea Business Research Institute analyzed statistics of 39 variety shows including communication between viewers, the brands generalizability, and the amount of consumption. There was a change in the algorithm this time around, as they added a media value. Through this, they are able to separate the consumers behavior and analyze the brand rankings according to the amount of communication, media, discussion within online communities, and viewership.

The Korean Business Research Institute has released the boy group brand reputation rankings for the month of August.

106,096,019 pieces of data were analyzed from July 11, 2017 to August 12, 2017, focusing on interaction, media coverage, communication, and community indexes to set the rankings. This is a 2.35 percent increase from the amount of data collected in July.
