Various Music Shows Cancel Broadcasts This Week In Observance Of Korean Holidays

Certain music programs will not be airing in observance of Buddhas birthday on May 3 and Childrens Day on May 5.

On May 2, MBC Musics Show Champion confirmed on their official homepage that their May 3 episode had been canceled. Instead, MBC Music K-Plus Concert in Hanoi is scheduled to air in its time slot.

Mnets M!Countdown will also be taking a break on May 4. The station plans to air a special highlighting the months upcoming K-pop festivals instead.

[Guest Film Review] "Mrs. B. A North Korean Woman"

Winner of the Best Film of the Documentary Competition in Moscow and Best International Documentary Film in Zurich Film, "Mrs B" is a very impressive documentary, shot in true guerilla style.

Jero Yun was conducting a research for North Korean refugees in China for his previous film, "Looking for North Koreans" and spent time with a network of smugglers working between North Korea, China, South Korea and the United States. That is where he met Mrs. B. (whose actual name is not mentioned in the film), who put him in contact with North Korean refugees living clandestinely in China, and eventually in her farm where she told him her story, thus becoming the focus of this film.

EXOs D.O Confirmed To Be Starring In New Film Headed By Famous Korean Director

Earlier, it was reported that EXOs D.O (Do Kyung Soo) would be starring in a new film called Swing Kids (tentative).

Since then, SM Entertainment has confirmed that D.O will be taking on the lead role in Swing Kids. The agency stated, [D.O] is honored to be working with director Kang Hyung Chul.

Swing Kids is a film set in a concentration camp in North Korea during the Korean War. Ro Ki Soo, the character that D.O. will be taking on, is a North Korean soldier who falls in love with tap dancing in the midst of all the chaos.
