Jinsol received a lot of criticism for not only messing up the magic trick, but also revealing the secret behind the trick, which netizens suspected might cause Choi Hyun Woo to be subject to a fine from the Magic Association. On September 12, the famous magician commented on the incident on Instagram.

He stated, "The magic trick I did was by magician Gustave Fasola, but there are no copyright issues related to the trick. Rather than the controversy of a magic trick's secret being revealed, I'm more shocked by the flood of criticism towards April's Jinsol." He continued, "The video clip was circulated, and my heart hurts due to the critical comments being flung towards a young person. I've already received an apology from the folks at DSP Media."
