MAMAMOO Sets New Record On Melon For Girl Group Song With The Most Listeners In 24 Hours

MAMAMOO has broken a record with their new title track, Yes I Am.

According to Melon, Koreas biggest online music site, MAMAMOOs Yes I Am recorded a whopping 940,435 cumulative listeners in 24 hours since its release at 6 p.m. KST on June 22. This is a highest number for a girl group, breaking the previous record of approximately 890,000 listeners, which was set by Wonder Girls Why So Lonely in July 2016.

Summer 2017 will be the mark of TWICE's debut in Japan. As reported by All Kpop, the girl group will be releasing a Japanese version of their debut song "Like OHH-AHH" within the month.

Similarly, all of TWICE's hit songs will be having a Japanese version for their Japanese fans. These include "Cheer Up", "Knock Knock", and "TT" just to name a few.

By 6 p.m. on June 23 KST, 24 hours after its release, BLACKPINKs As If Its Your Last recorded 13,316,290 views, the most ever for a K-pop group in 24 hours. This record was also previously held by BTSs Not Today, which had hit an impressive 10,979,502 views 24 hours after its release.
