Back on August 12, the '2017 DMZ Peace Concert' took place in Yeuido incommemoration of Korea's National Liberation Day. Various hot K-Pop stars such asG-Friend,MAMAMOO,BTOB,Ailee, and more were announced as performers, as well as Girls' Generation.However, the girls were nowhere to be seen when the performances from the concert were broadcast through MBC on August 15.

100 K-pop stars including EXO, Girls Generation, and TVXQs Yunho will head to the Jeju Convention Center for a workshop run by SM Entertainment on June 19-21.

Other stars who will attend the workshop include singer and MC Yoon Jong Shin, actor Kim Soo Ro, model Jang Yoon Joo, as well as other actors, musical actors, and MCs associated with SM Entertainment. 900 other SM employees will also attend the workshop.

The members of Girls Generation, who are celebrating their 10th anniversary as a group this year, are currently in talks with SM Entertainment on whether to renew their exclusive contracts.

Reports emerged on August 16 that Girls Generation is currently in talks with SM Entertainment as their exclusive contract recently ended.
