The group continues to gather more popularity and interests overseas as they snag 1st place on the two charts with their second Japanese single, "Beautiful".

Back in May, MONSTA X signed with Universal Music Japan's new label Mercury Tokyo and released their first single "Hero", which debuted at 2nd on Oricon.

Hero was released on May 17 and has taken No. 2 on Oricons weekly single chart. On Tower Records and Billboard Japans weekly charts from May 15 to May 21, the single rose to No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.

Hero is the only album from a foreign artist who debuted this year to make it into the top three of Oricons weekly charts. It contains the Japanese versions of Hero and Stuck.

MONSTA X is once again killing it on the Japanese charts.

Following their successful Japanese debut with Hero, which reached No. 2 on the Oricon weekly chart, MONSTA X returned with their second single, Beautiful. Immediately upon release, the album has reached No. 1 on both Orisons daily chart and Tower Records chart.

Members Jooheon and I.M teamed up with producers to make the song Beautiful, which features dubstep and trap beats. The song itself uses a red rose as a metaphor for forbidden love in the lyrics. Also, previously MONSTA X signed with Mercury Tokyo, a new label under Japans University Music.

On May 24, GOT7 released their fourth Japanese single My Swagger. It took first place on Billboards Japan Single Chart for the period from May 22 to May 24. It also topped Tower Records Daily Single Chart for four consecutive days and took second place on Oricon on the day of release.
