Moon Sung-keun to star in SBS "Manipulation"

Actor Moon Sung-keun is starring in a drama for the first time in 8 years.

He is coming back with a new SBS drama called "Manipulation".

The last drama he starred in was the 2009 drama "Princess Ja Myung Go".

"Manipulation" is a drama that reflects on the lives of reporters who dig through the corruptions of life. Previously decided casts are Namgoong Min, Yoo Joon-sang and Jeon Hye-bin. Chun Woo-hee was initially on the list too but it fell through.

"Manipulation" will be broadcast in July.

Han Moo-yeong (Namgoong Min) wanted to find out the truth behind his brother Han Cheol-ho's (Oh Jeong-se) death.

Five years ago, Lee Seok-min (Yoo Joon-sang) and investigator Kwon So-ra (Eom Ji-won) were investigating a case on secret funds when Koo Tae-won (Moon Sung-keun) hit them in the back of their heads. Seok-min was demoted and so was So-ra. Cheol-ho, who wrote the report, suddenly died from an accident.

Actor Namgoong Min is starring in the SBS drama "Manipulation".

"Manipulation" is a drama that distinctly reveals the reporters who struggle to get to the bottom of the truth of social corruption. It is written by Kim Hyeon-jeong-II and director Lee Jeong-heum.

Namgoong Min takes on the role of troublemaker Han Moo-yeong who witnesses his reporter brother die while trying to report on corruption. He becomes a reporter himself for his brother's revenge.

Namgoong Min thought hard about his next drama and decided on this one.

Fans of OCN's "Bad Guys" who have been patiently waiting for its sequel may be disappointed to learn that the second season being produced by OCN not a sequel, but a spinoff. This means that motley crew of Mad Dog's convicts turned police investigators will be no more and instead, a new team will be formed with a slightly different concept.

It was earlier reported by Kpopstarz that OCN was getting ready to shoot with the original team - writer Han Jung Hoon, PD Han Dong Hwa, as well as original cast members Kim Sang Joong, Park Hae Jin, Ma Dong Seok, Jo Dong Hyuk and Kang Ye Won to pick up the story from where the original series left off. It can be recalled that the idea of a sequel was teased at the ending when Mad Dog Oh Gu Tak (Kim Sang Joong) was seen as he was being released from prison to consult on a complicated case being handled by the police. "Train to Busan" star Ma Dong Seok, who played underground thug Park Un Cheol in "Bad Guys" Season 1 also teased a return during the BTS clip where he said they wanted to come back for Season 2.
