ODD EYE CIRCLE – MIXMATCH

LOONA's second subunit ODD EYE CIRCLE has just dropped their first ever mini-album. The trio consists of Choerry, JinSoul, and Kim Lip. Their new EP 'MixMatch' has five fresh tracks, including the title track "Girl Front." This group is one you should keep your eye on and I mean that literally as every member is stunning.

"ODD" is the intro track, and it does its job, no more no less. It's an okay instrumental but does little to set the tone for the rest of the EP.

LOOΠΔ'S ODD EYE CIRCLE drops a preview of mini album 'Mix & Match'

LOOΠΔ's new subunit ODD EYE CIRCLE is teasing fans with an official preview for their upcoming mini-album 'Mix Match'.

Consisting of 5 tracks in all: "ODD", "Girl Front", "LOONATIC", "Chaotic", and "Starlight", the trio's latest album looks to be a promising one with a unique blend of fast tracks and mesmerizing ballads. All the tracks sound great but I'm most interested in "Girl Front" after hearing the preview.

LOONA Odd Eye Circle Play It Cool with Mix and Match

LOONA’s (stylized LOOΠΔ) debut arrangement — debuting one member per month at a time — is unconventional and slightly confusing, but it is perhaps the first of its kind and sets the girl group apart right from the get-go. The only thing is, with the huge amount of time between each member debut — and yes, one month is a pretty long time in the K-pop world — it’s very difficult for general listeners like me to really know what’s going on with the group and who the members are.

JONGHYUN – THE COLLECTION: 'STORY OP.2'

Jonghyun unleashes his second compilation album, 'The Collection: Story Op.2.' This album contains 10 tracks, including five from his time on the 'Blue Night' broadcasts, and another five that are brand new. The Blue Night ones have been remastered before theofficial release. The SHINee singer wrote, composed and arranged all these himself, with a little help from production teams such as MonoTree, SCORE, and others.

The title track is "Lonely," a quiet ballad, featuring Girls' Generation leader Taeyeon. They do a beautiful job of creating the emotion of isolation and heartache. They do it tenderly, one manufacturing the expectation that something else will happen, and then the other singer joins the mix. I think one of the best parts of the song is when they match each others' timbres and duet together -- no longer lonely.

[MV & Album Review] Triple H -- '199X / 365 Fresh'

5. 365 Fresh (Instrumental)

Triple H (the band, not the wrestler) has finally debuted with their very first mini-album '199X.' In case you've been hiding in a hole, the band consists of HyunA (of 4minute and solo fame), as well as Hui and E'Dawn from Pentagon. Each member contributed lyrics for the album, and they teamed up with Devine Channel for their title track.

The first song is "Sunflower," with HyunA teasing the intro, but it immediately gives the others a turn in this stomping, catchy hip-hop fusion. It's bright and happy and gives plenty of attitude. What's unusual about this one is its extremely short running time. It's way too long for an intro track, but at 2:29 there's not enough of it for my tastes. I like it a lot.
