NCT 127 decide not to promote 'Cherry Bomb' on 'Music Bank'

NCT 127 have decided not to promote their latest title track "Cherry Bomb" on KBS's 'Music Bank'.

A few days ago, KBS deemed "Cherry Bomb" unfit for broadcast due to violent and gory descriptions. SM Entertainment responded to the on June 16, "It's true that NCT 127's 'Cherry Bomb' lyrics failed to pass the broadcast regulations. But if the lyrics are changed, the song will not have its original feel, so even though we feel saddened, we've decided not to perform the title song [on 'Music Bank']. Instead, after agreeing with KBS, they will perform '0 Mile'."

NCT 127 Will Not Promote Cherry Bomb On Music Bank

On June 16, a source from SM Entertainment said, It is true that the lyrics for NCT 127s Cherry Bomb didnt pass the review. We decided that we will not change the lyrics and thus not hold a title track stage because changing the lyrics would alter the original songs feeling.

The source added, After consulting with KBS, it was decided that only B-side track 0 Mile will be performed on stage.

The lyrics that were deemed inappropriate included Uh Hard rock, scalp/ Head shot pop/ Take a fist or stone or a gunshot/ Stomach/ Cherry Bomb/ popping your head like. KBS stated that the lyrics depict violent actions and cruel content.

On the June 22 episode of M!Countdown, NCT 127 took their first music show win since their debut with their song Cherry Bomb.

The other nominee for first place was Kim Chungha with Why Dont You Know. NCT 127 took the final win with a score of 7325. In their winning speech, they thanked Lee Soo Man, their staff and management at SM Entertainment, and their fans, NCTzens.
