Many netizens expressed concerns and complained about the concept of 'Idol School' as it seems to sexualize minors. The show was also accused of having a 'Lolita theme' for the school uniforms and scenes such as spraying water on the girls in white tops. 

At the press conference for 'Idol School', Heechul, who's appearing on the show as the teacher, shared his thoughts about the controversy.

Super Junior's Heechul recently spoke out saying how the show pulls in ratings through their sexualized viewer content and netizens reacted in quite a shocking way.

'Idol School' has received backlash from netizens complaining about how overly sexual the show has become. There were comments regarding the show using a distasteful 'Lolita' concept, depicting the girls in very provocative school uniforms, and even spraying the girls' white t-shirts with water during a recording. Heechul also appears on the show as a mentor to the new trainees and had revealed his opinion on the matter.

The logo, rules, and concept of 'The Rap of China' isthe exact same as theKorean competition series. However, it's revealed that 'The Rap of China' did not officially purchase the copyrights.

Production companyCJ EM spoke up about the plagiarism on July 26, and stated toTV Report,"iQIYI's'The Rap of China' did not officially purchase the rights to the content. It's unfortunate how they're broadcasting a similar program without going through the proper procedures."
