OCNs increasingly popular drama Tunnel will be resting for a week of broadcasts (two episodes worth) in May to improve its quality.

On April 20, sources of Tunnel stated, In time for the holidays in May, we will postpone broadcasts of episode 13 and 14, originally planned to air on May 6 and 7, and air some movies in place of them. Plus, we will air re-runs of past episodes back-to-back before our scheduled air time. The drama will be back on schedule on May 13.

OCN's time travel thriller "Tunnel" will be taking a week-long break from airing to make way for the filming of the second half of the show. Production has confirmed that the network wants to make sure that the remaining episodes will have the best quality for its loyal viewers.

According to a report by All Kpop, "Tunnel" will take a break from airing on May 6th and 7th and will be replaced by Hollywood movies for their timeslot. On the 6th, OCN showed Dwayne Johnson's disaster movie "San Andreas" while on the 7th, they showed Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron's action packed "Mad Max: Fury Road."

OCN's crime thriller drama 'Tunnel' will be going on a hiatus for a week.

According to a broadcast representative, originally scheduled to air on May 6 and 7, episodes 13 and 14 of 'Tunnel' will be pushed back a week and resume starting May 13.

Reaching its highest ratings at 5%, 'Tunnel' follows the story of protagonist Park Kwang Ho (played by Choi Jin Hyuk) who was trying to solving a murder case in 1986 when he travels through time and ends up in present day 2017. Meeting his new crew, Park Kwang Ho goes on to solve the haunting case from 30 years ago.

Episode 13 of OCNs Tunnel aired on May 13 and scored its highest viewer ratings yet of 5.5 percent, with real-time ratings peaking at 6.2 percent. Within its target audience (people in between the ages of 25 and 49), the drama scored average ratings of 4.8 percent and peaked at 5.6 percent, earning the drama the top spot in its time slot. The episode was especially popular with men and women in their 40s, with ratings peaking in each bracket at 6.9 percent and 9.2 percent respectively.
