The sad fact of K-pop is that it's oversaturated, and many, many of the groups are definitely over looked. There are so many talented idols that just don't get the spotlight that others do. Some of the success for idols is because of the label, from their producing and promoting, but some of it is just based on pure luck. Most idols are talented and good looking and funny and whatnot, but some just don't make it.

Former T-ara Member Areum To Join Idol Rebooting Program The Unit

The Unit confirmed that former T-ara member Areum will be joining the KBS 2TV audition program for idols who did not quite make it big the first time around.

This will be Areums first time doing any kind of official activity since leaving T-aras unit group T-ara N4 in 2013. She joined T-ara in 2012 but left for health reasons two years later.

It was relayed that Areum has been without a management company since then, and has pursued her dream as a singer alone. With the help of some staff, she has decided to joint The Unit and is current in the process of getting ready for the show.

Members of Boys Republic and Brave Girls confirmed to join new idol rebooting program 'The Unit'

Members of Boys Republic and Brave Girls are going on KBS 2TV's 'The Unit'.

'The Unit' is a new idol rebooting program that aims to give a second chance to those idols who failed to gain the spotlight. 

On August 17, producers of 'The Unit' confirmed the members of Boys Republic and Brave Girls are participating in the show. 

A rep from Brave Girls' label also confirmed, "Yuna, Eunji, and Yoojung are participating in 'The Unit'.''

Meanwhile, rumors stated that a member of AOA is also joining the new program but nothing has been confirmed as of yet.

On August 23, it was reported that LABOUM would be joining the show and a representative of the girl group said, Nothing has been decided yet. Though its true that weve been in talks for it [LABOUM to join the show], we are still in the deliberation process due to LABOUMs domestic and overseas activities.

On August 24, IMFACTs agency, Star Empire, released an official statement in response to reports that the group had been confirmed for KBSs idol rebooting program The Unit.

A source from the agency stated, While it is true that we are discussing the possibility of IMFACTs appearance on the show, nothing has been confirmed as of yet.
