[Orion's Drama News] Haunting Pasts and Juicy Time Slips

Time is cruel and in Dramaland it is also a big troll, which brings us to the theme of today's dramas. "Someone Noticeable" takes a look at someone's past for the sake of someone's future and "Live Up to Your Name" is the latest in line of time travel dramas. I have more news, as usual, including the return of Lee Bo-young in a drama I will be keeping my eye on.

Kim Nam-gil and Kim Ah-joong are here to be awesome in their own special way for the posters of "Live Up to Your Name". The series may be cast with actors who enjoy their serious works and I am already hearing people taking bets on how Kim Nam-gil will die, but the series' promotion is light in tone so far and one can hope. The drama has also released a new teaser where our time traveler ogles to the brea- I mean best of his abilities.

Get your baggy jeans and hoop earrings ready, because "The Best Hit" is here to bring back everything we find embarrassing and sometimes secretly still love from the 90s. Today I take a look at this quirky upcoming title before sharing the usual collection of weekly news. I have also started two of my three new dramas for this exciting season!

Early drama concepts change a lot, but the result is sometimes very surprising. Until the first promotional material for "The Best Hit" appeared, I had dismissed it as just a typical youth drama. Enter time-traveling 90s idol and I am as confused as I am entertained. I am still not sure what to make of it and all I know is that there is also a romantic angle here, but I am intrigued enough. I am also not sure what the tornadoes in the posters mean, but they fit the oddity that is this show so far quite well.

Happy new month, everyone. I hope this drama season will provide a lot of promising shows to follow. Today I take a look at the persistently enigmatic "Woman of Dignity" and its new atmospheric videos. I also share the shiny new posters from "Secret Forest" as well as miscellaneous news.

"Woman of Dignity" has released its third and fourth teasers along with posters and I am beginning to wonder if I am viewing these through a Twilight Zone scenario. The series is still labeled a comedy and granted, Korean melodrama is sometimes so bad that is it funny, but there are no giggles here. Possible viewer baiting aside, the thriller this series does look like seems great. That being said, it is by the writer of "Strong Woman Do Bong-soon", so I will pass.

Dramaland has a lot to offer this summer in terms of variety and so none will go drama-hungry or, in the case of "Bride of the Water God 2017", drama-thirsty. Today I take a look at its promotional baby steps and briefly share other drama-related news for this week.

Upcoming fantasy drama "Bride of the Water God 2017" has begun promoting and it starts simple and pretty. Unfortunately, that is my characterization of its leads and since I do not enjoy this type of fantasy, I have not followed this closely. That being said, the PD and writer duo of Kim Byeong-soo and Jeong Yoon-jeong have worked on shows such as "Queen In-hyun's Man" and "Arang and the Magistrate". As far as capable hands go, this series is in good ones. You can read this piece comparing the drama to the original for more information and also see Sin Se-kyeong's new stills.
