On August 3, the Korean Consumer Forum announced the winners of their 15th annual Brand of the Year Awards, which celebrate the “best brand that has been brightening the year in a variety of different industries.

Award winners for this year were selected based on voting on the organization’s homepage from July 12 to 25, with over 380,000 consumers taking part. A representative from the organization stated that there were so many people voting for the awards that their server temporarily went down.

A brand new boy group is on the way for popular hip hop label Brand New Music!

The record labels founder Rhymer revealed the plans in a recent interview with BNT International, adding that the

group would be making their debut very soon.

In the interview, it was also confirmed that four of the Brand New trainees set to join the group are currently competing in this season of Produce 101, Kim Dong Hyun, Park Woo Jin, Lee Dae Hwi, and Lim Young Min.

Brand New Music has released an official statement regarding one of their trainees.

On May 23, Brand New Music posted a message on their official Facebook page that said, We would like to inform everyone that the current rumors on social media regarding Im Young Min are groundless. Please know that groundless, speculative posts can hurt the person directly involved, so we ask that you refrain [from spreading rumors].

'Produce 101' to have a season 3 next year, most likely with female trainees

'Produce 101' is planning a 3rd season.

According to insiders, Mnet is aiming to air season 3 of the trainee show next year. While not 100% confirmed, it will most likely be with female trainees as with season 1.
