On the June 24 installment of the show, Roy Kim covered Lee Moon Sae's past hit "Girl", which was perfect for his trademark, soft voice. He ended up winning over the audience, bringing in 426 points for the '2017 First-Half of the Year Special'.

On the special for Kim Min Jongand Son Ji Chang's duo The Blue, Huh Gak covered the classic track "Endless Love". He expressed, "Kim Min Jong sunbaenim is my idol. It was to the point I remembered the codes to his songs for the karaoke room. There's 'the best 3' songs by Kim Min Jong. 'Beneath the Sky', which is 1566, 'Endless Love', which is 3487, and 'Kind Love', 4573."

Oh My Girl returned to the old school days on the July 15 composer Park Shi Choon special of 'Immortal Song'.

In '60s school uniforms, Oh My Girl covered Baek Nan Ah's 68-year-old song "Sweet 18", which is a perfect song for the rookie girl group. Before performing on stage, Oh My Girl said, "It's a song released in 1949, but all our members knew it," remarking on the longevity of the song.

The audience loved Oh My Girl's throwback to the old hit as well as their stage outfits, but it was married couple Yoo Sung Eun and Bong Goo who took the final win.

During Go Jae Geun's cover of Hyun In's 1953 hit "Stand Tall Geum Soon", YooAwas so overwhelmed with emotion she started crying nonstop. It seems the performance featuring child actress Kim Sul Ee, who did a rendition of the character Geut Soon from the movie 'Ode to My Father', really got to her.

Though everyone in the waiting room got misty-eyed, YooA in particular shed a lot of tears. She explained, "Something about it made me choke up. The character wanting to cry, but not being able to cry out loud really hurt me."

The August 5 installment featured American singer-songwriter Richard Marx as the legendary artist of the show. ALi was the third one up on stage with a cover of Richard Marx' "Endless Summer Nights". 

She expressed she was extremely nervous to be singing in front of Richard Marx, but he only had praise, saying, "Your rearrangement was good. I couldn't take my eyes off your performance."
