Royal Pirates have announced the group will be going on a 2-year hiatus during member Sooyoon's military service.

The group revealed what they've been up to since James' leave due to his health issues earlier this year. Moon and Sooyoon have been keeping themselves busy writing songs and OSTs, but Royal Pirates as a whole will be taking a break for 2 years. 

Moon will be active as a solo singer during this time, while Sooyoon will be off completing his mandatory military service.

According to reports, Kang Ha Neul applied to serve at the Capital Defense Command as a military police officer and was accepted. His agency SEM Company confirmed on July 5, "He's not received his draft notice as of yet, but it's expected he'll start in September or October of this year."

The label added, "This will not affect the filming of 'Bad Guys 2'. He plans to finish up filming for the drama and enlist."

On April 13, reporters caught Yoochun leaving his duties as a public service employee in Seoul earlier than expected with some media outlets alleging he came and went within 5 seconds. A rep from the borough office, where Yoochun is fulfilling his military duties, called for the withdrawal of media from the location, stating, "It's a place where employees work, and it's causing discomfort. Yoochun and the other employees need to use the restroom, but it's uncomfortable as there are so many reporters."

Actor Lee Min-ho will start his mandatory military service at the Gangnam District Office next month, his management agency MYM Entertainment said Wednesday.

He will start working behind a desk on May 12 before going through four weeks of basic combat training at some point.

Singer Park Yoo-chun is serving his military duties in the same cushy job in Korea's glitziest district.

Lee is excused more strenuous duties because he sustained serious injuries to his thigh and ankle in a 2006 car accident and was involved in another serious crash during filming of the 2011 TV series "City Hunter".

Yunho Completes Military Service

Yunho of K-pop duo TVXQ finished his mandatory military service on Thursday.

Hundreds of fans, both local and foreign, and reporters gathered to see Yunho in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, where he had been carrying out his military duties since July 2015.

Yunho discussed his feelings about being released and thanked his fans for putting their trust in him, as well as his fellow singers for the support they showed him during his service in the military.

Meanwhile, his partner in TVXQ, Max Changmin, will complete his military service in August.
