The trainees of 'Produce 101' season 2 were re-ranked. 

Last week, it was previewed that one of the trainees in rank F jumped up to rank A. The lucky trainee with the drastic improvement was revealed on the April 21 broadcast.

The one and only rank F trainee who jumped up to rank A was The Vibe Entertainment's Kim Tae Dong.

In addition, Ahn Hyung Seop from rank D and Woo Jin Young from rank C moved up to rank A. From rank B, a total of 5 trainees- Daniel Kang, Kim Sang Bin, Kim Sung Ri, Im Young Min, and Lee Woo Jin - shifted up.

Former Produce 101 contestant Park Hayi recently talked about enjoying the shows second season.

On May 30, the singer held her debut showcase at West Bridge in Seoul, where she brought up her experience in Produce 101, saying, I was stressed at the time. There was a lot of stress because it was a competition and also because of the editing of the show. I even wondered why they made this kind of program, but when I started watching [Produce 101 Season 2] it was fun. Despite being an F-rank contestant, I found myself judging them.

Rank A trainees on 'Produce 101' season 2 to hold a special stage on 'M Countdown' next week

The rank A trainees of 'Produce 101' season 2 will be going on 'M Countdown' again.

Back in March, the trainees auditioning for the competition program held their very first stage on 'M Countdown' with ''Pick Me''. According to an Mnet associate, only the 16 trainees in rankA will be given the chance to go on a special stage again and perform ''Pick Me''.

The top 16's special stage on 'M Countdown' will be airing on the 27th.

Rank F trainees unable to go on 'M Countdown' stage shed tears on 'Produce 101' season 2

On April 21, 'Produce 101' season 2 trainees' rehearsal for 'M Countdown' was aired. 

The trainees entered the studio in an orderly fashion by their ranks. Rank A dressed in light pink entered first, followed by B, C, D, and F.  The trainees' position on the stage also depended on their ranks. Rank A took the center while rank F were placed on the floor; off the stage.

Lee Min Ki (Ren), who's a member of NU'EST, were unable to control his emotions and shed tears during rehearsal. Several other rank F trainees also showed tears as they were not able to step on stage at all.

The group battle performances took place on this week's episode of 'Produce 101' season 2!

Last week, the trainees split into 16 groups. A total of 8 tracks by BTS, INFINITE, Super Junior, Seventeen, SHINee, 2PM, EXO, and B2ST were available for their group mission. This also meant two groups will be performing the same track for a battle. The episode ended with the first four groups' cover of 2PM's ''10 Out of 10'' and EXO's ''Growl''.

On the April 28 episode, the remaining groups held their performance while the 'nation's producers' at the site sent in their votes. At the end, the final voting results were revealed.
