Starship Entertainment's Acourve changes name to Mind U + drops concept photos for debut

A duo from Starship Entertainment is starting fresh with a new name. 

On April 17, the label announced that Go Dak and Jae Hee, who promoted as Acourve, have changed their name to Mind U due to copyright issues.

The duo is scheduled to release a collaboration single with Mad Clown on April 27. This will be their debut with the new name. The label also released concept photos of Mind U in which the boys are looking handsome with a soft vibe.

Debuting in June 2010 with the popular single "Push Push," the girls' contract will be expiring soon as they signed a standard 7-year contract. Ahead of their contract expiring, SISTAR is expected to make a comeback on May 31 with a song by Black Eyed Pilseungwho previously produced their tracks"Touch My Body" and "I Like That." As SISTAR's comeback coincides near the timeframe when their contract expires, there is additional interest in the contract renewal situation.

According to Allkpop, a representative from Starship Entertainment told the media that the members are still discussing whether or not they will continue promoting under the label. Judging by its success with Starship Entertainment for 7 years, SISTAR will most likely extend its contract, especially when the group's now gearing up to release its new album.

Starship Entertainment has confirmed that SISTAR will be officially disbanding after 7 years.

SISTAR first debuted in June 2010 and signed a contract for 7 years together, that contract will be coming to an end shortly.

The group will officially disband now, with Hyorin, Bora, Soyou and Dasom no longer being a group under SISTAR.

“It has been decided that SISTAR will be officially disbanding. However, we are still under talks with the members regarding contract renewals.”
