Taiwanese 'Real' positive ratings deemed as false after all

It appears there has been some misinterpretation regarding previous Taiwanese reports from August 8 on film 'Real' starring Kim Soo Hyun and Sulli.

According to a Taiwanese outlet, more than one million spectators had flooded to the theaters to watch 'Real' within the first 3 days upon release; however, such news has been confirmed to be false.

Instead of one million moviegoers as previously reported, a total of 1 million TWD (~ 150,000 USD) was made in sales. When it comes to the number of spectators, that is less than 5,000 people.

It seems Kim Soo Hyun and Sulli's movie is receiving 'Real' positive ratings from Taiwan.

According to a Chinese news outlet on August 8, the action/noir film hit theaters on August 4 in Taiwan, causing more than one million moviegoers to see the show within three days.

The Chinese news outlet stated that 'Real' received a lot of attention since it was Kim Soo Hyun's last film leading up to his military enlistment. Although the movie wasn't a big hit in Korea, 'Real' is looking to be quite the attraction this year, being one of the top Korean films at the box office in Taiwan.

Park Yoochuns Accuser Deemed Not Guilty Of False Accusation

Early July 2017, Ms. Song, one of the women who accused JYJ’s Park Yoochun of sexual assault in 2016, was found not guilty of false accusation and defamation by a unanimous jury vote. Prosecution appealed the not-guilty ruling, and the first trial of the appeal was held early September, at which time prosecution made their case about why the initial ruling should be overturned.

During the final trial, held September 21, the judge panel ruled to uphold the initial ruling of not guilty, saying that Ms. Song’s sexual assault lawsuit was not completely groundless, considering Ms. Songs claims as well as witness testimonies, and that there is not enough evidence to prove that her accusations were false: “False accusation is acknowledged when the accusation directly goes against an objective fact, but it’s difficult to say that the intercourse was consensual based on Park Yoochun’s claims alone.”
