Former Produce 101 Season 2 contestant Takada Kenta recently featured in a photo shoot with fashion magazine, Gioami Korea. In the interview, he opened up about his journey so far of trying to become a K-Pop singer.

The 23-year-old shared, After I learned about K-Pop my first year of high school, I started dreaming of becoming a singer. Then, I trained in Korea with the goal of debuting.

Takada Kenta also thanked two contestants from Produce 101 Season 2 during his interview, and said he relied on Jeong Sewoon and MXMs Kim Dong Hyun the most during filming. He revealed that he felt a lot of pressure being the center for the first time during his groups performance of INFINITEs Be Mine. However, Kim Dong Hyun and Jeong Sewoon gave me lots of encouragement and strength. Im still thankful to those two, Takada Kenta shared.

When asked whether it was difficult and lonely to be on the show, especially as the only Japanese trainee, Takada Kenta responded in an unexpectedly positive manner and said, Actually, people didnt realize I was Japanese initially. They only asked if I was Japanese after I put on my name tag. There were many people who started up conversations with me first and others who asked me to help them learn Japanese. I also had my first experience with communal living through the program, and it was a lot of fun. If I was asked to appear on the show again, I would definitely want to.
