Koreas opposing presidential candidates, Moon Jae In and Yoo Seung Min, both chose TWICEs Cheer Up to be their representative song for the upcoming election.

Following former President Park Geun Hyes impeachment last month, Koreas Democratic presidential nominee Moon Jae In, and Bareun Party presidential nominee Yoo Seung Min, chose TWICEs Cheer Up to be the campaign song of both parties.

The song was chosen by the two political opponents because it portrays a friendly image and is popular with all age groups, and thus was believed to be a great way to encourage voters to vote for them.

On April 20, it was reported IU achieved a triple crown across weekly Gaon charts with Cant Love You Anymore, her song featuring Oh Hyuk.

Cant Love You Anymore reached first place on Gaons combined digital chart, as well as first place on the streaming and download charts respectively. IU and Oh Hyuks first performance of Cant Love You Anymore will be for Yoo Hee Yeols Sketchbook, to be aired on the April 29 broadcast.

In less than 72 hours since the release of her 4th full album Palette, IU has received a Perfect All-Kill with her 3rd different track from the album.

IUs level of public recognition cant be understated as she has received a Perfect All-Kill for her third song from the album in under a month.

Both Cant Love You Anymore ft. Oh Hyuk and Through the Night also received Perfect All-Kills upon the albums release, even after having been pre-released a few weeks prior. The three songs make IU the only artist to have achieved a Perfect All-Kill with three different songs so far this year.

TWICE's 'Cheer Up' stays in the Melon Top 100 chart for a full year

TWICE's "Cheer Up" has stayed in MelOn's 'Top 100' chart for a full year.

The girls released the song on April 25th last year. It's still #80 on the chart and has been ranking inside the chart for the past 52 weeks. The song had stayed #1 for four weeks, stayed in the TOP 10 for seventeen weeks, and ranked #1 on the yearly chart in 2016.
