U-KISS’s Kiseop Suffers Second-Degree Burns After Explosion On MV Set

U-KISS member Kiseop has received burns after an explosion on the site of a music video shoot.

U-KISS’s agency NH Media said on September 6, “While Kiseop was filming a music video, he was using a smoke emitter as a prop and there was an explosion. He received second-degree burns and many fragments were stuck in his body, and so he was taken to a hospital in Incheon.”

They explained that the smoke emitter that exploded is a type that is often used in Korea by citizens at soccer games or festivals as ways to show support. NH Media stated that Kiseop received treatment at the hospital and is currently resting.

U-KISS' Kiseop has suffered burn injuries due to an explosion that took place during the group's music video filming.

On September 6, NH Media explained what occurred, stating, "During filming for the MV, a smoke machine was used for Kiseop's scene, and it caused an explosion. He suffered 2nd degree burns, and 10 pieces of material were lodged in his body. He was transferred to a hospital in Incheon." 

The agency continued, "It's a machine that's used often among civilians, at soccer matches, and at various festivals. We used it while filming for their music video, and it blew up. After receiving treatment at the hospital, Kiseop is currently resting."

Kiseop had been in an accident where the smokescreen used during an upcoming MV exploded in his hand, resulting in 2nd-degree burns and shards of the smokescreen being lodged in his body. The photo and video of Kiseop's accident had worried fans sick, and many had been concerned for his face.

He just recently posted a selfie to reassure fans. While he's still got bandages on his face and neck and he's covering the majority of his face with a pair of sunglasses, he looks loads better than the last time fans saw him.

NH Media gave a new update on U-KISSs Kiseop on September 12 and emphasized that the idols health and recovery is their top priority.

An agency representative stated, Kiseop has been focusing on receiving treatment and monitoring his injuries at the hospital. His condition has definitely improved since his injury. The idol suffered second degree burns when a smoke emitter exploded on the set of a music video he was filming. Fragments of the emitter became lodged in his body and he was soon rushed to the hospital. Kiseop is currently resting at home and continuing his outpatient treatment.
