Wanna One tell a 'Summer Story' on 'Immortal Song'

Wanna One sang a "Summer Story" on the August 26 installment of 'Immortal Song'.

The 'Produce 101' hit group made their first entrance on the DJ DOC special of the show. When asked if they realize how popular they are yet, the boys responded, "We realize it just by being invited on 'Immortal Song'. We never thought we could sing a major sunbae's song. Thank you."

They also said before their performance, "The survival show we appeared on let us shine individually, but here, we can show Wanna One as a group. We'll do our best." Wanna One put on a refreshing and energetic rendition of "Summer Story", remixing the track with their 'Produce 101' theme "Me, It's Me".

The members decided to take on DJ DOCs Summer Story and put their own spin to it. Not only did they add a more refreshing and sweet feel to the song, but they also captivated the audience with their synchronized dance moves. In the middle of the song, Wanna One even added in a short segment of their Produce 101 Season 2 theme song Pick Me.

The powerful RnB singer transformed Hye Eun Ee's 1978 hit "Gam Soo Kwang" into a refreshing, jazz track. Kim Tae Woo also added in a bit of choreography to his already impressive performance, making it perfect.

Kim Tae Woo's cover won the hearts of the audience, and he defeated Jung Dong Ha's 5-round winning streak with 428 points. Congrats to Kim Tae Woo!

The August 5 installment featured American singer-songwriter Richard Marx as the legendary artist of the show. ALi was the third one up on stage with a cover of Richard Marx' "Endless Summer Nights". 

She expressed she was extremely nervous to be singing in front of Richard Marx, but he only had praise, saying, "Your rearrangement was good. I couldn't take my eyes off your performance."

All 11 Wanna One boys to be on 'Immortal Song'

Wanna One's first music variety show will be 'Immortal Song'.

'Immortal Song' confirmed, "We've confirmed the full Wanna One group to be on the show. They will be filming in mid-August."

The boys have been busy even before their official debut. So far, they've already been on 'Happy Together' and 'Superman is Back' as well as their own reality show 'Wanna One Go!', and will be on 'Oppa Thoughts', 'Dangerous Outside the Blanket', 'SNL Korea', and more. 'Immortal Song' will be the boys' first music variety show.
