In the first season of Produce 101, trainees Jeon Somi, Choi Yoojung, Kim Doyeon, Kim Chungha, Kim Seo Kyung, Kwon Eun Bin, and Kim Dani were called The Dance Avengers group because of their impressive member lineup and phenomenal dance cover performance of Bang Bang.

Brand New Music Founder Reveals Plans For Their Trainee Contestants After Produce 101 Season 2

A brand new boy group is on the way for popular hip hop label Brand New Music!

The record labels founder Rhymer revealed the plans in a recent interview with BNT International, adding that the

group would be making their debut very soon.

In the interview, it was also confirmed that four of the Brand New trainees set to join the group are currently competing in this season of Produce 101, Kim Dong Hyun, Park Woo Jin, Lee Dae Hwi, and Lim Young Min.

A post was recently made on an online community with the title, Kim Yong Jin and his tear-jerking story. It aimed to introduce the story of Kim Yong Jin, a trainee from Wings Entertainment, and his parents.

It was revealed that before the show began airing, Kim Yong Jins parents printed out flyers to promote their son. They are said to be very supportive of their son and his dreams, even standing outside in the rain to hand out the flyers to students in their area.

The trainees of 'Produce 101' season 2 were re-ranked. 

Last week, it was previewed that one of the trainees in rank F jumped up to rank A. The lucky trainee with the drastic improvement was revealed on the April 21 broadcast.

The one and only rank F trainee who jumped up to rank A was The Vibe Entertainment's Kim Tae Dong.

In addition, Ahn Hyung Seop from rank D and Woo Jin Young from rank C moved up to rank A. From rank B, a total of 5 trainees- Daniel Kang, Kim Sang Bin, Kim Sung Ri, Im Young Min, and Lee Woo Jin - shifted up.

The third episode of Mnets Produce 101 Season 2 was packed with excitement as the final results of the video evaluations were revealed and the highly anticipated group battle evaluations began in the third episode as well.

In the preview from the end of the second episode, viewers saw a trainee from the F rank group walk into the room of A rank trainees, which was an unexpected but perhaps welcome shakeup for viewers. In the end, six trainees from the B rank group (Han Jongyeon, Daniel Kang, Kim Sangbin, Kim Sungri, Im Youngmin, Lee Woojin), one trainee from the C rank group (Woo Jinyoung), one trainee from the D rank group (Ahn Hyunseob), and one trainee from the F rank group (Kim Taedong) made their way into the A rank group. Plus, although there were some who were less steady in their performance for the video evaluations, all of the original A rank trainees were able to maintain their spots in the group (Lee Daehwi, Park Woojin, Ha Sunghoon, No Taehoon, Kim Namhyung, Samuel Kim, Ong Sungwoong).
