On June 21s episode of MBCs Show Champion, SEVENTEEN, ASTRO, G-Dragon, Kim Chungha, and TWICE were nominated for first place. G-Dragon grabbed the win, despite not having promoted this track on music shows, and MC Kim Shin Young congratulated G-Dragon as well as asked him to please come on the show.

On July 26’s episode of “Show Champion,” the five nominees for first place were Red Velvet’s “Red Flavor,” EXO’s “Ko Ko Bop,” Jung Yong Hwa’s “That Girl” (featuring Loco), Zico’s “Artist,” and Heize’s “You, Clouds, Rain” (featuring Shin Yong Jae).

EXO took the win, but was unfortunately unable to attend the ending of the show as they had to head to Japan for the upcoming SMTOWN concerts. The “Produce 101 Season 2” finalist group only made their official debut on August 7, and has already grabbed their first win.

Each member had the chance to thank everyone for the trophy, after having performed for the first time on “Show Champion” that day. Leader Yoon Ji Sung said that being able to win the trophy was all thanks to their fans Wannable, and promised to remember them forever. Ong Sung Woo said, “This feels like a dream, I’m so happy.”
