It appears that hit Korean TV program 'Produce I.O.I' has started a new trend throughoutAsia - especially when it comes to survival programs.

In an attempt to scout out new singers, YG Entertainment has recently made an announcement regarding the launch of their very own survival program.On June 19th,YG Entertainmentstated thatthe debut members of the boy group will be selected through a new survival program, which is scheduled to launch in the latter half of this year.

YG Entertainmentis launching another survival program with their trainees.

Previously, it was reported that Bang Ye Damis preparing for hisdebut in a new boy group with young members aging from 15 to 17. On June 19, YG Entertainment revealed that the debut members of the boy group will be selected through a new survival program, which is scheduled to launch in the latter half of the year.

According to reports on June 20, the upcoming male trainee survival program YG Entertainment will be launching will take on a 'YG-Style Produce 101' format.

A rep from the label said, "YG will launch a variety of programs beginning this fall. Han Dong Chul PD, who produced 'Show Me The Money' will work on a new survival program... it will be the first time YG will be joining hands with outside labels, and YG will be hand-picking members from participating, unknown rookie groups, to form a brand new group."

After BIG BANG's Daesung successfully concluded his D-LITE Japan Dome Tour this month and ruled the Japanese charts with his solo mini album "D-Day", its Taeyang's turn to take the Japanese stage this July. The BIG BANG member recently confirmed the schedule of "SOL Japan Stadium Tour 2017."

According to his Instagram post, Taeyang will be holding a series of solo concerts on July 8 and 9, and again on August 5 and 6. Taeyang did not announce whether his solo album will be a Japanese album like Daesung's solo album.

PD Na Young Suk is the king of creating innovative and successful variety programs. His latest hit was Youns Kitchen, which surpassed a 16 percent viewership rating at its peak during the most recent episode.

On May 2, Na Young Suk announced that he is working on yet another variety program that will air after Youns Kitchen. The program will feature singer and song-writer Yoo Hee Yeol and a politician from Koreas Justice Party, Yoo Shi Min. Na Young Suk said, Currently, nothing is set in stone regarding when we will start shooting the show and when it will air on television. We are still in the process of recruiting members.
