On July 24, during a broadcast through Naver V Lives X Early Interview, the stars of MBCsThe King Loves sat down with Kim Tae Jin to discuss their work.

Girls Generation YoonA and Hong Jong Hyun carried a cardboard version of their fellow main co-star, Im Siwan, who recently enlisted in the army. As the interview began, the actors were excited to be on the broadcast, exclaiming This place is great!

The stars shared, This is our first pre-produced drama, and now that were watching it after filmed it all, we feel like just viewers as well. YoonA stated, The drama will be fun all the way until the end, to which Hong Jong Hyun added, Even the villain has a story. The drama showcases all sorts of love.

Upcoming MBC drama 'The King Loves' revealed a still cut of lead actors Siwan, Girls' Generation's YoonA, and Hong Jong Hyun in one scene!

Filming for the newly revealed still cut took place this past April 16, amidst a full bloom of rhododendrons. YoonA seems to be in the middle of sneaking up on Siwan, signaling Hong Jong Hyun to stay quiet. 

'The King Loves' is a fictional, historical romance based on a romance novel of the same name. It will be filmed 100% prior to broadcast; no airing date has been announced yet.

On July 31, MBCs The King Loves revealed preview stills of Eun San (YoonA) surrounded by royal soldiers and Wang Won (Im Siwan) and Wang Rin (Hong Jong Hyun) coming to her rescue.

Previously on episodes seven and eight, Song In (Oh Min Suk) became suspicious of Eun San, who knows the existence of Moo Seok (Park Young Woon), the culprit behind the Bokjeonjang case he had devised. At this, Song In spread false rumors that someone from Wang Won and Wang Rins side was killing the witnesses of the case.

MBC’s “The King Loves” recently released some cute behind-the-scenes videos of YoonA doing scenes with Im Siwan and Hong Jong Hyun.

In the making video of YoonA and Im Siwan, the two actors are acting a scene in which Im Siwan uses a parchment to get close to YoonA from behind, in a makeshift back hug. The two are all smiles when the camera stops rolling, playfully shouting “YOLO!” whenever someone on the staff says “Bring [the prop] here,” which in part sounds similar the American slang. “YOLO” then becomes the code word for bringing props onto the scene, elliciting smiles all around.
