'Produce 101' fans protest the creation of a 'concert team' out of trainees #12-35

'Produce 101' season 2 fans are furious at the announcement of a 'concert team'.

The concert team will be made from boys whose final ranks are #12-#35. These 24 boys will only be at the concert for the next two years, and will act as backup dancers for the top 11 boys while not even being able to debut.

Fans are furious at the announcement, and a petition has been created, signed by over 7,500 fans in 17 hours. The final goal of the petition is 10,000 fans. The petition reads, "The trainees are not a way to make money, but people. They can't be used however the program sees fit just because they were on the show."

According to the article, BTS has taken Chile by storm and is one of the most popular boybands in the South American country. The article highlights how BTSs online presence and active online fandoms are a key to their success.  In a country where traditional forms of broadcast play latin-influenced music, online media was a way for BTS and other K-pop groups to infiltrate the market.  From their millions of Twitter followers, Chilean fan accounts, and their V App live broadcasts, the group has built a very strong online following.

GOT7 started their Japanese showcase tour.

This is the boys' 3rd showcase tour, and is titled 'GOT7 Japan Showcase Tour 2017 'Meet Me'. The boys started off in Osaka, where they sang their 4th Japanese single "My Swagger", as well as "Meet Me", a song that leader JB wrote lyrics to and composed himself.

The Osaka was completely sold out, as are their future shows in Nagoya on the 11th and 12th, in Tokyo on the 13th and 14th, in Sapporo on the 19th, in Sendai on the 21st, and in Fukuoka on the 27th.
