SEVENTEEN Tops Billboard K-Pop Best Selling Album Chart of the Week!

SEVENTEEN is the best performing K-pop album this week on Billboard's World Album Chart. The K-pop group's comeback album "AI1" entered the charts last week and maintained its strong performance this week.

Based on its Billboard World Album Chartsstanding, SEVENTEEN landed on the #4 spot this week, which is a slight slip from its #2 spot last week. SEVENTEEN is joined by other Korean acts ASTRO, AOMG's Loco and BTS who took the 6th, 7thand 8thspots this week.

SEVENTEEN has earlier been lauded by Billboard for being one of the most innovative K-pop acts in the industry. Its latest comeback "AI1" was praised by reviewers for its courage in changing up the group's style from its normal dancey vibe to take on an edgier approach with its EDM track "Don't Wanna Cry."

More and more Korean artists are entering the Billboard World Album Charts this week. SEVENTEEN, ASTRO and Loco have all joined BTS Top Social Artist BTS on the charts as of June 7.

According to a report by Soompi, SEVENTEEN, who was recently lauded by Billboard for switching up their sound and going EDM with their comeback album "AI1" stayed on the chart at #4. The K-pop group debuted on the Billboard World Album Chart at #2 last week.

Roughly a week after its release last week, K-pop group ASTRO also broke through the Billboard charts with their fourth mini album "Dream Part .01". The album debuted on the charts at a high rank of #6.

Six of the spots in the top 15 of Billboards World Albums chart have been grabbed by Korean artists this week!

On June 13, Billboard released its latest weekly World Albums chart, which is dated for the week of June 24.

As was previously announced, G-Dragons new album Kwon Ji Yong has taken the top spot on the chart, as well as the Heatseekers Albums chart. The album has also come in at No. 192 on the Billboard 200 chart with only one day of recorded U.S. sales!

Boy group Seventeen made their first official appearance on Billboard's 'Social 50' chart!

In their first appearance on the chart, they came in at 19th place. Seventeen shined for the first time since their debut on the renowned list for the week of June 24.  They are currently promoting their new title track "Don't Wanna Cry."

Meanwhile, BTS is still going strong on this chart as they ranked in second place behind Ariana Grande.

G-Dragon tops Billboard's 'World Album' chart

G-Dragon recently ranked number one on Billboard's 'World Albums' chart in addition to appearing on the on the 'Billboard 200 Chart', with his latest EP 'Kwon Ji Yong.' Which isn't surprising as the top star also topped Japan's Orion Weekly Digital chart in addition to getting an all-kill on various music charts across the board.

K-pop continues to make its presence known as other artists are on the chart with BTS at #12 with 'You Never Walk Alone', DAY6 at, you guessed it, number six with 'Sunrise'. 'Produce 101' was also mentioned in ninth place, Seventeen taking charge of 11th place and even Suran's latest EP 'Walkin' popped up on the 'World Albums' chart coming in at 14th place for the week of June 24.
