While living in California, she was cast by Urban Works Entertainment and moved to Korea.

Kriesha Chu was a trainee for a year before she auditioned for K-Pop Star 6 and blew away the judges.

She was so impressive that YG Entertainments Yang Hyun Suk wanted to sign her right away.

Baek A Yeon, the third place winner on the first season of K-Pop Star, talked about the reason why she wouldnt go back on K-Pop Star if she could turn back time.

While the show brought her to a higher place and she is able to sing on stage like she has always wanted to, she said that she wouldnt go back on the show if she turned back time. She said, For me, K-Pop Star was a place I turned to for the last time when Id given up everything else. I cant remember what my mindset was back then. But if I were to do it again now, it would be so stressful, and I think Id just cry until it was over. If I could turn back time, I think Id probably just be diligently studying music.

'Birth of a Star' was broadcasted on Chinese video site IQIYIfrom November of 2016 to January of 2017. A total of 65 contestants participated in the competition to become the final 8 of thedebut group.The concept is greatly similar to 'Produce 101', where 101 trainees compete to become the final 11 debut members. In addition to the general concept, 'Birth of a Star' blatantly plagiarized the small segments within the show.

New girl group Favorite has revealed plans to make their debut!

Their agency ASTORY Entertainment stated, Rookie girl group Favorite went to a studio in Gyeonggi province on June 10 and 11 to film the music video for their title track.

The new six-member group contains Go Ah Ra, a former K-Pop Star 6 contestant, as well as members Gaeul, Junghee, Sookyung, Seoyeon, and Saebom.

Go Ah Ra previously received a lot of attention for being the youngest member of the group Minari in K-Pop Star 6. She also received a lot of praise from the judges for her vocal ability, and was able to make it all the way to the semi-finals before she was eliminated. Member Gaeul also previously garnered attention for her amazing dance skills on Mnets Produce 101.
