G-Friend Is No Girl Crush with “Fingertip”

Riding on today’s fourth wave of feminism, the idea of having a “girl crush” is something that’s become wildly popular in recent years. Just from Twitter alone I’m reminded through every #WCW (Woman Crush Wednesday) of who my fellow females look up to: Maggie Cheung, Kiko Mizuhara, Susan Sontag, Emma Watson, Michelle Obama, etc. The list goes on and on. What unites the candidates is the veneration women have for them, or the desire to wield the same awe-inspiring combination of intelligence/beauty/badassery their girl crushes already possess.

Following the news, netizens criticized Brand New Music and commented, "Brand New Music is already done preparing to debut a group and all the members are ready to go. It sounds like he's asking us to not vote for Lee Dae Hwi since that will push back the group's debut if he promotes with the top 11. Traitor... I'm not voting for them", "So they're just using 'Produce 101' to increase their popularity before debut lol That's so shady. It means they had it all planned out before they went on 'Produce 101'."

Popular girl group member's father 'Pastor Park' arrested for investment fraud of 20 billion KRW

'Pastor Park', the father of a famous girl group member, has been caught for investment fraud.

He set up an 'economy research center' within a church and collected over 20 billion KRW (approximately 17.5 million USD) from about 150 people from January 2010 to August 2016. He told them it was the will of God, and that they may be punished if they did not pay. He used other people's investments to pay off the older investors, and if he received complaints about late payments, he would use his daughter to say, "My daughter is a famous celebrity. Do you think I would commit fraud?" He also used the money to buy expensive cars for executive staff of the team.
