Winner"s Nam Tae Hyun will take on his first acting challenge in new web drama "Midnight"s Girl".

According to MBC Every1, Nam Tae Hyun will play as Gong Jidan, who accidentally has to be in charged of a karaoke and also gains an opportunity to grow as a singer.

It was revealed that he impressed all the staff with his acting skills during the first filming, raising everyone"s anticipation towards the premiere of the wed drama.

Nam Tae Hyun said,"I feel nervous about acting for the first time but I"ve have much fun doing it by seeing that as a great opportunity. I may look awkward as it"s my first acting challenge but please look forward to it a lot".

Earlier today, MBC Everyone confirmed that WINNERs youngest member grabbed the role of the leading man in the web drama entitled Midnights Girl which had the earlier working title of My Superstar Jidan.

This is not the first time Nam Tae Hyun tried his hand at acting as he, together with his members, have already shown their acting skills through their reality show WINNER TV almost two years ago. However, it will be the first time he will be acting in a web drama containing some episodes.

Nam Tae Hyun already started shooting for the said web drama which will have its first broadcast this coming early May.

“Falling for Innocence” will be a healing melodrama about a merciless corporate head hunter who develops feelings for a woman after he gets a heart transplant. It will be directed by producer Ji Young Soo, who is responsible for the KBS drama “Big Man.”

“Falling for Innocence” will premiere following the conclusion of JTBC drama “Maids.”

Though she tried to hide it, Girl"s Day"s Yura was definitely jealous about Hong Jong Hyun"s scenes with actress Song Yoon Ah in the drama "Mama".

On the October 11 installment of "We Got Married", Yura brought up her onscreen husband"s intimate scenes, saying, "Oppa, you did a lot of skinship in your drama. A back hug, bathing... there"s a lot of those type of things," and he responded, "It"s in the script."

She went on, "It was so natural. You did well. It was acting, but it made me see another side of you. Acting comes out only if it"s natural," showing that she was jealous. Hong Jong Hyun said during his solo interview, "I wasn"t sure. She didn"t ask me why I did what I did. She just said, "You bathed," so I thought maybe she was complimenting me. That was actually jealousy?"

Girl"s Day member Hyeri, who was in the studio, also commented, "She always watches [his drama]. She"ll change the channel, and if it"s on, she"ll stop and watch."

In Girls Comic Shoes, Han Seung Yeon will act as ‘Shin Ji Hoo,’ a new girl at work who is afraid to fall in love and develops a crush on her co-worker Hong Jong Hyun.

Hong Jong Hyun will act as the guy who has lots of dating experience and is rather cynical about love, but slowly transforms as he meets Ji Hoo.

SBS Plus’s new drama Girls Comic Shoes (translated) confirmed its casting of Hong Jong Hyun and Han Seung Yeon for the lead roles.

Model-turned-actor Hong Jong Hyun recently appeared in Style Log and Petorialist.

He also starred in movie Jungle Fish 2 and drama Dating Agency Cyrano, building up his career as an actor.

Hong Jong Hyun will take the role of ‘Oh Tae Soo,’ a cynical and experienced guy that starts dating Ji Hoo (Han Seung Yeon), an innocent and naïve girl.

PD Ahn Gil Ho said, “He will be able to show the charming traits of Oh Tae Soo, who seems cold at first, but slowly open up his mind. Hong Jong Hyun has also been showing his determination for the new role by cutting his hair short.”

Girls Comic Shoes, which has finished casting the lead roles, is set to air on February 24, through SBS Plus, web and mobile services.

3 Posters Released for New Drama Inspiring Age, Starring Kim Hyun Joong, Im Soo Hyang, and Jin Sae YeonOn January 2, three powerful posters were released for KBS’s new miniseries, “Inspiring Age,” greatly increasing anticipation for this new work.

The main poster features the three main characters, Kim Hyun Joong, Im Soo Hyang, and Jin Sae Yeon. Kim Hyun Joong is shown with a heavily beat up face, a bowler hat pulled down over one eye, and a clenched fist, exuding an intense masculine energy. Behind him, Im Soo Hyang and Jin Sae Yeon complete the picture, with an enchanting and mysterious air, making us wonder about the relationship that will unfold between the three.

Moreover, the poster that features a large portion of the cast advancing in a haze of fog has everyone’s attention, as well, featuring a variety of unique characters.

An official at the production company Ray N Mo said, “The three posters that we revealed directly show the characteristics of the drama: a grand scale, intricate action, and high-class femininity. With talented actors and a solid story, this emotional romantic noir will be a drama that delivers.”

“Inspiring Age,” filmed on a large scale with intricate action, is a romantic noir about the love, loyalty, and friendship of the ‘romantic fists’ of Korea, China, and Japan in the 1930s. It will air its first episode on January 15, after the end of “Beautiful Man.”
