K-pop girl group Rainbow"s main rapper Woori has added to the cast of the upcoming MBC weekend drama Flower of the Equator.

The group"s agency, DSP Media, released a statement on January 5th which read, "Woori has participated in various auditions for Flower of the Equator since the end of last year. More details and schedules are still being coordinated."

Woori will play the character Seo Yura, who is known for her mood swings. Her character falls in love with Park Jae Joon (Yoon Park) as her attitude starts to soften throughout the rest of the series.

The confirmed cast members for the new show are Yoon Park (Park Jae Joon), Lee Sung Kyung (Kang Yi Sol), Kim Sung Ryung (Rena Jung), and Lee Jong Hyuk who iwill play Park Min Joon.Veteran actor Jo Hyung Gi will also join the cast lineup.

Flower of the Equator is scheduled to make its premiere during the month of February. The melodrama will have a total of fifty episodes and be broadcasted during the weekend (Saturday and Sunday) at 9:55 PM KST.
