SEVENTEEN Dominates Sales, Viewing Records On Domestic, International Charts

SEVENTEEN is making a killing in domestic and international charts with their latest comeback "Al1" as it breaks its own sales records and enters the charts of multiple countries worldwide. The K-pop group is making waves in the Hanteo sales charts and is also receiving positive reviews for their title track "Don't Wanna Cry."

According to a report by Soompi, SEVENTEEN broke its own sales performance in the Hanteo sales chart as it managed to sell 80,000 units of their comeback album "Al1" in three days since it was released May 22. This was a major step up from the group's previous mini album which sold 50,000 units for three days.

BTS once again demonstrated their ARMY power by gracing the cover of Japanese fashion magazine 'Anan.'

In both cover images, the seven members can be seen staring at the camera standing courageously dressed in casual denim wear and a trendy leather jacket to looking neat in a dress suit.

On May 10, BTS unveiled the Japanese version of their hit song "Blood, Sweat, Tears" which topped music charts thanks to the explosive response from fans, breaking records. They became the fastest foreign group to surpass 200,000 sales on the Oricon chart.

For 'Twitter Popular Choice Award', the finalists are encouraged to share photos, stickers, videos, and more of their preparation and participation at the festival on Twitter. The dance group with the most engagement such as Likes, Retweets, Replies, and Video views will be the winner of the award.

JYP Entertainment Expects Huge Jump In Ticket Sales Due To TWICE And GOT7

Thanks to the boom of TWICE and GOT7, JYP Entertainment is expecting even higher ticket sales in 2017 and 2018 than they received in 2016.

Hana Financial Investments looked into JYP Entertainment and determined that they were on track to smash the company record for number of concert tickets sold.

The graph on the right shows the breakdown of tickets sold between JYPs three main groups 2PM, TWICE, and GOT7 since 2012. Ticket sales for got TWICE and GOT7 are expected to skyrocket in 2017 and 2018 while 2PMs will drop as more members enlist in the military.

Research conducted by the Korea Reputation Center went through data from 50 female brand companies in order to come up with a list of the most influential female idols in the month of May.

The data was collected from April 25th till the 26th of May and revealed which female idols and actors had the strongest brand reputation.

The point system was organized by three categories. The categories recorded were consumer participation, communication, and sheer diffusion amount.
