PSY, SECHSKIES, WINNER Rule Gaon Charts From May 7-13; YG Artists On A Roll With Major Comebacks

It has been a very eventful month for K-pop and the month isn't even over yet. Gaon Chart recently released the chart rankings of this month's releases from May 7 to May 13 with PSY, SECHSKIES, and WINNER ruling on the rankings.

According to Gaon Chart's National Digital Singles ranking, PSY's "I Luv It" takes the top spot followed by comeback kings SECHSKIES with their single "Be Well." PSY also took the third spot with "New Face". The Unnies' "Right?", "If I Get Drunk Today" from Suran ft. Changmo. IU's "Palette" featuring BIG BANG leader G-Dragon slid down to the 6th spot while WINNER's "Really, Really" held strong at #7, Hyukoh's "Tomboy" and Hyukoh leader Oh Hyuk's collaboration with IU "I Can't Love You Anymore" rounded up the Top 10 spots, reported All Kpop.

Jung Hyung Don reveals why he quit Samsung Electronics

Jung Hyung Don made an appearance on 'Let's Eat Dinner Together' and revealed the reason for why he quit Samsung Electronics. 

Before he made his official debut as a comedian, the entertainer briefly mentioned his experience working at Samsung Electronics on SBS' 'Healing Camp'. At the time, host Kim Jae Dong stated, "There were rumors saying that you got fired because a worker heard you in the bathroom cussing out your boss." Hyung Don replied, "Firstly, I resigned, I want people to get that straight. Also, I didn't cuss out my boss in the bathroom. I cussed him out after he excused himself from the table to go to the restroom." From there, the discussion about his past career ended with laughter from the audience.

Cube Entertainment's Pentagon, has released their music video for "Critical Beauty," the title track from their newly released 3rd mini album 'Ceremony.'

The vibrant video is set in a carnival location and the boys wear colorful retro style suits, while they show off their amazing footwork. The song "Critical Beauty" combines 1950s style Rock and Roll music with modern Trap beats to create an unique and refreshing sound for the summer.

Pentagon will promote as 9 members, as member Yanan is in the process of recovering from a hand injury that was sustained during practice.

Samsung Opens New Mega Plant in Pyeongtaek

Samsung Electronics started producing semiconductor chips at a plant in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province on Tuesday.

Samsung said the plant is the biggest of its kind in Korea.

Samsung announced the same day that it plans to spend an additional W14.4 trillion to increase chip making lines at the plant by 2021. It will also invest W6 trillion for a semiconductor plant in Hwaseong, Gyeonggi Province, and W1 trillion for a plant to make display panels in Asan, South Chungcheong Province.
