The popularity of SBS drama You Who Came From the Stars in China has brought the spotlight onto its lead actor, Kim Soo Hyun.

According to KeyEast Entertainment, Kim Soo Hyun’s agency, Kim Soo Hyun ranked number one on Baidu’s ‘the actor of the day’ on January 14, followed by Lee Min Ho and Taiwanese top star Jimmy Lin.

Kim Soo Hyun’s drama You Who Came From the Stars is also ranked number one on Baidu’s Korean drama chart, with his other drama The Sun and the Moon ranking number three.

His dramas have also been raking in hits on PPTV, with You Who Came From the Stars earning over 7.5 million hits and The Sun and the Moon earning 1.3 million.

Kim Soo Hyun Rises to Top Star Status in China

The total number of fans signed up for Kim Soo Hyun’s community forums in Chinese portal sites as well as followers on the actor’s Weibo reached around 920,000, as of January 14, and the number is expected to continue to rise.
